Glendronach – 40 Year Old 1972 Batch 7 (2012)

Glendronach 40 Year Old 1972 is a single cask Highland malt from Batch 7. It was filled on 15 May 1972 into an Oloroso sherry butt, number 710, and matured in the distillery's dunnage warehouses until it was drawn in October 2012. The whisky was bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. 356 numbered bottles were filled. It is described as showing dark fruits, polished mahogany and rancio-tinged spice, with chocolate and honeyed notes in the Glendronach sherry style.
