GlenDronach Allardice is an 18 year old Highland single malt matured primarily in Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucia, bottled at 46% ABV.
It comes from the GlenDronach Distillery, founded in 1826, and is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
Dark treacle, stewed fruit and toasted walnut lead on the nose, with cocoa, orange peel and baking spice. The palate is full and weighty, with fig, date, raisin, dark chocolate, espresso and warm spice. The finish is long, with walnut, allspice and subtle oak tannin.
