This is Batch 7 of the Glendronach Cask Strength series, bottled at 57.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky was matured in Spanish Pedro Ximenez casks and then in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose offers sweet figs, fresh blackberries, plum jam and baked apple strudel with cinnamon, vanilla sauce and raisins, with grated ginger root. The palate is rich in raisins and blackberry jam, with plenty of spice, firm oak, bitter cocoa and black pepper. The finish is long, with orange, mulled wine spices and roasted chestnuts.
