Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 8 is a 10 year old single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 61% ABV. It matured entirely in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, and this is the eighth batch of the bottling.
The nose brings sandalwood, oak balsam and strong Colombian coffee, with dark manuka honey, cocoa and Brazil nut. On the palate come mocha, caramel macchiato and cherry chocolate cake, layered with dates, plum skin and sultanas. The finish is long, with espresso and cocoa and traces of liquorice and cherry tobacco.
