This is Batch 10 of the Glendronach Grandeur series, a 27 year old single malt from the 1991 vintage, bottled on 10 September 2018 at 50.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The batch comprises 2,293 bottles.
The whisky matured in sherry casks. The nose has intense sherry, cherries, blueberries, almonds, raisins and marzipan. The palate is rich and powerful, with coffee, caramel, plums, dates, dried figs and mint. The finish is very long, spicy and sweet, with dark chocolate and strong oak spice.
