This is Batch 11 of the Glendronach Grandeur series, a 28 year old single malt from the 1994 vintage. It was bottled on 23 March 2022 at 48.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, and the batch comprises 3,181 bottles.
The whisky matured in sherry casks. On the nose are intense sherry, cherries, blueberries, almonds, raisins and marzipan. The palate is rich and powerful, with coffee, caramel, plums, dates, dried figs and mint. The finish is very long, spicy and sweet, with dark chocolate and lasting oak spice.
