GlenDronach Venetian Room is part of the House Editions series, pairing the distillery's sherry character with Italian red wine influence. Master blender Rachel Barrie combined spirit matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry, Oloroso sherry and Amarone red wine casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without added colouring and without chill-filtering.
The nose brings tiramisu and amaretto with dark cherries and blackcurrants, then dates, cocoa and a little vanilla. The palate offers sweet red plums and almond liqueur, with maraschino cherries, chocolate and hazelnut. The finish is long, with wild berries, hazelnut cream, coffee and caramel.
