GlenDronach Ode To The Dark is an unpeated Highland single malt without an age statement, bottled at 50.8% ABV in a 700ml bottle. It belongs to the distillery's Master's Anthology series.
It was matured entirely in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and composed by Master Blender Rachel Barrie for depth rather than age. The whisky is non-chill filtered and carries only the natural colour from the casks.
Tasting notes mention mocha, black cherry and dark chocolate on the nose, with raisin, brown sugar and ginger. The palate brings espresso, creme caramel and black grape, and the finish is long and warming, with dried fruit and sweet spice.
