GlenDronach Ode to the Dark is a Highland single malt matured entirely in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and bottled at a cask strength of 50.8% ABV, non-chill-filtered, in a 70cl bottle. It was released in the Master's Anthology to mark GlenDronach's 200th anniversary.
The nose offers mocha, ripe black cherry and dark chocolate, then crème brûlée, raisin, brown sugar and warm spice. On the palate, espresso, crème caramel and black grape lead into mint-chocolate ganache and dried fruit. The long finish carries dark fruit, bitter cocoa, a hint of salt and black pepper.
