Ode to the Embers is a Highland single malt from GlenDronach in Aberdeenshire, one of three no-age-statement releases from 2025 in The Master's Anthology series. It is bottled at 48.4% in a 70cl bottle with natural colour.
It was matured mainly in Oloroso sherry casks, with a share of the Pedro Ximenez sherry casks the distillery is known for. It is also a smoky GlenDronach, peated to 18-24 ppm, and is said to be between 6 and 10 years old.
The nose offers cinnamon, toffee, apple, caramelised walnuts and bonfire-charred orange. The palate has raisins, walnuts, chocolate, caramel and peat smoke, leading to nutmeg, syrup and burnt clove in the finish.
