Glendronach – Original 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Glendronach – Original 12 Year Old is a single malt whisky from Glendronach (Highland). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl. Matured in sherry & traditional oak casks. The Glendronach Original 12-year-old was first introduced in the 1980s under Allied Distillers, with this version relaunched 2004 by Allied Domecq. Like its predecessor, the Glendronach Traditional, this expression was also a vatting of sherry and refill casks. It was produced until 2009 when Billy Walker reimagined it as a fully sherry-matured version. A malt distillery located in Forgue by Huntly in the eastern Highland region. As of 2016 it is American-owned by the Brown-Foreman Corporation through its Benriach Distillery Company subsidiary. Famed for its preference for sherry cask-ageing, it has long been an established single malt brand.
