GlenDronach Original 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. It is the flagship entry expression of the range, from a distillery founded in 1826 by James Allardice.
The whisky is matured for at least twelve years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled non-chill filtered and at natural colour.
The nose is of sherried autumn fruits, with chocolate praline, gingerbread and sun-dried raisin. The palate brings caramelised bramble, silky orange and sultana, with warming spice.
