GlenDronach Original 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in sherry casks, with Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez among them. It is non-chill-filtered, free of caramel colouring and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is amber gold. It won silver at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in 2011.
The nose is sweet and creamy, with vanilla, dark dried fruit and spice. On the palate the sherry influence comes through with more nuts and dried fruit, and the malt is silky. The finish has good length.
