GlenDronach Port Wood is a ten-year-old Highland single malt from the GlenDronach distillery at Forgue. It spends its first years in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, then a further three years in Port pipes from Portugal's Douro Valley. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour, under Master Blender Rachel Barrie.
The nose brings Victoria plum, bramble and strawberry jam with cherry blossom, honeysuckle, sandalwood and ginger. On the palate come blackberry, roasted apple crumble and gingerbread, with baked orange and black cherry behind, and the finish is long with ripe berries.
