This is a single cask GlenDronach, a single malt distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2022 after 28 years in an Oloroso sherry puncheon. The cask was selected by Rachel Barrie.
It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.5% ABV, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. The cask gave 664 bottles, each one numbered by hand.
On the nose there are date and hazelnut fruitcake, demerara sugar, treacle, polished oak, tobacco and dried blueberry. The palate brings spiced fruitcake, walnut, burnt sugar, ground coffee and dark plum and grape jam, followed by a long, warming finish of dried fruit, dark sweetness and oak spice.
