GlenDronach Single Cask #4197 is a 28-year-old single malt from one Oloroso sherry puncheon, bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.3% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit was filled on 26 November 1993 and bottled in 2022. It comes from Batch 21 of the distillery's single-cask programme, matured at Forgue in Aberdeenshire, and is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose brings dark chocolate, raisin, fig and date over warm spice and a subtle nuttiness. On the palate it is velvety, with sherry-soaked berries, sultanas, dark cherries, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and a thread of vanilla. The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit and oak spice.
