This is a Glenesk single malt distilled in 1984 and bottled on 8 February 2023 at 38 years old. Gordon & MacPhail released it in its Connoisseurs Choice range at a cask strength of 50.5% ABV.
It matured in a refill sherry butt, cask 2636, and 103 bottles were filled, each of 70cl.
Glenesk stood near Hillside in Angus. It was founded in 1897 as Highland Esk Distillery, was renamed Glenesk in 1980 and closed in 1985.
