Glenfarclas 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was matured for the full ten years entirely in Oloroso sherry casks at Ballindalloch.
Glenfarclas has been owned and run by the Grant family since 1865, and its six direct-fired copper stills are among the largest on Speyside. The sherry-cask maturation is the house style across the range.
The nose is sherry-sweet and malty, with honey, vanilla, pear drops and a light touch of spice. The palate is delicate, with dried fruit, cinnamon and cloves, and the finish is long, smooth and gently spicy.
