Glenfarclas – 10 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Glenfarclas 10 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. The distillery has been owned and run by the Grant family since 1865, and the fifth generation now carries it on. The nose is sweet and malty, with sherry and delicate spice, and honey, vanilla and pear drops as the glass warms. The palate is light, with malt, sherry sweetness, dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. The finish is long, smooth and spicy.
