Glenfarclas – 105 Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 60%)

Glenfarclas 105 is a cask strength single malt from Ballindalloch, at the foot of Ben Rinnes, bottled undiluted at 60% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The 105 refers to its strength in old British proof. It was first poured in 1968, when George S. Grant sent it to family and friends as a Christmas gift before it was released commercially. The distillery has been owned by the Grant family since 1865. The nose is oak, apple and pear with dark toffee. The palate is dry and spicy, full of sherried fruit, and the finish is smooth and warming with a light smokiness.
