Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a single malt from a family-owned distillery of Victorian origin, one of the few still working with direct-fired stills. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
Every Glenfarclas expression is matured in Sherry casks, which gives the distillery's classic profile of dark chocolate and dried fruit.
The nose is rich with dark fruits, teacakes with sultanas and raisins, candied orange peel, red plums, honey and sweet ginger. On the palate come forest berries, blackcurrant jam, toffee, fudge, winter fruit cake, figs and macadamia nuts.
