Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a sherried Speyside single malt with plenty of dried fruit character. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, the strength that George Grant's grandfather preferred.
The nose is intense and powerful, with cream sherry, a touch of peppermint and a rancio quality. Raisins, orange peel, walnuts and dates come through on the palate, with a Christmas cake richness.
The finish is very long and complex, with the walnuts returning.
