Glenfarclas 17 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky aged for 17 years entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. It is made at Ballindalloch, at the foot of Ben Rinnes, and bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
Glenfarclas has been family-owned by J&G Grant since 1865, and distils with six direct-fired stills.
The nose is butterscotch and sherried fruit. The palate is big and slow to develop, with sherry-sweet malt building in waves, and the finish is long, smooth and gently spiced.
