Glenfarclas 190th Anniversary marks 190 years of licensed distilling at the Speyside distillery, since 1836. It completes the Anniversary Trilogy that began with the 175 and 185.
Distillery Manager Callum A. Fraser and Managing Director Douglas Belford chose 78 sherry casks from five decades for the vatting. It was bottled in 2026 at 51.4%, which is 90 British proof, in 15,000 70cl bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The palate is soft, rich and velvety, with green apples, sherry sweetness and spiced Christmas cake. The finish pairs dark chocolate with a hint of fresh tobacco.
