This is Glenfarclas 2002, a single cask Speyside malt released as a distillery exclusive for the Spirit of Speyside Festival 2023. It was bottled that year at a natural cask strength of 54.3% ABV, without chill-filtering, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured for over two decades in a single first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, and the bottling yielded 636 bottles.
It is described as showing dark chocolate, spiced raisins, stewed plums and winter spices, with honeyed malt beneath and a long, warming finish.
