This is a Glenfarclas single malt from Speyside, an official distillery bottling made for Whisky Live Germany to mark a 50th anniversary. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2026 from a single first fill sherry butt, number 5191, which yielded 643 bottles.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 64.4%, without added colour and without chill-filtration, and shows a mahogany tone. It is not a smoky whisky.
On the nose, clear sherry aromas meet dried fruit and sweet malt. Dark berries, toasted oak and caramel shape the palate, and the long finish carries demerara sugar sweetness and woody spice.
