Glenfarclas 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks in dunnage warehouses, and it is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
Glenfarclas has been owned by the same family since 1865, and this 25 year old is described as the senior bottle of its range.
The nose brings dried fruit, polished wood and orange peel with a little cinnamon. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with dark toffee, roasted nuts, marmalade and a hint of smoke. The finish is long, warming and dry, with oak tannins, spice and dark chocolate.
