Glenfarclas 25 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle.
It is matured in first-fill ex-Oloroso sherry casks and refill American ex-bourbon barrels. The spirit is double distilled in copper pot stills heated by direct flame. Glenfarclas was established in 1836 and has been run by the Grant family since 1865.
The nose is hazelnut and dark chocolate, with orange marmalade, oak and a hint of coffee. The palate brings warm apple tart, cinnamon, cooked blueberries and raisins, then fruit cake, toffee and espresso. The finish is long, with chocolate cake, glazed orange and winter spice.
