This is a 30-year-old single malt from Glenfarclas, in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is full and complex, with fruit and sherried, malty tones. The palate carries sherry, cognac and brandy notes alongside fruit, nuts and marzipan, adding up to something like a rich Christmas cake.
The finish is very long, with a distinct taste of burnt chocolate at the back of the mouth.
