Glenfarclas – 35 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Glenfarclas 35 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured for thirty-five years in Spanish oak ex-sherry casks, Oloroso and Fino, at the Ballindalloch distillery. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 700ml bottle and comes in a red wooden box that echoes the distillery's red warehouse doors. It is the first 35-year-old in the Glenfarclas core range, first bottled in late 2022 and released in 2023, and it is issued in annual limited releases. The Grant family has owned the distillery since 1865. The colour is deep amber with hints of dark gold. The nose has roasted almonds, dried dark fruits and creamy toffee. The palate shows sherried fruit, dark chocolate and raisins, and the finish is lingering cinnamon and cocoa powder.
