This is a 50 year old Highland single malt from Glenfarclas, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was released in December 2022 in a run of 836 numbered bottles.
The whisky marks Chairman John Grant's 50 years in the whisky industry. It matured while his father, George Grant, was at the helm of the distillery.
The nose brings marzipan, almonds, cedar and a hint of smoke, with dark chocolate and cooked apples. On the palate there is dark chocolate and caramel, a touch of light smoke and a sweet note.
