Glenfarclas – Single Malt Scotch Whisky Cask Strength (60%)

Glenfarclas Cask Strength, also known as Glenfarclas 105, is a Speyside single malt from a family-owned distillery. John Grant bought the business in 1865, and each Grant generation since has kept the stills running. The nose has plenty of sherry up front, with sweet malt, oak, a little caramel and fresh fruit such as apples and young pears. It is less mild and soft than might be expected, and a drop of water opens up its depth.
