Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Amontillado Sherry Cask Finish is a Speyside single malt, a special edition launched in 2022 and bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It comes in a red tube.
The whisky spends 12 years in American and European oak sherry casks, then is finished in Amontillado sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Fewer than 5% of the sherry casks Glenfiddich imports are Amontillado.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with pear, delicate dried fruits and subtle spice. The palate is sweet, with rich oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, baked apple and chewy almond. The finish is smooth and mellow, with a lingering, delicate spiciness.
