Glenfiddich – 15 Year Old (75cl)

This is a 15 year old single malt from Glenfiddich, in a 75cl bottle. It is aged in European oak sherry casks and new oak casks, then mellowed in the distillery's Solera Vat, a large oak tun inspired by the sherry bodegas of Spain and Portugal. The vat has never been emptied and has been kept half full since 1998. The nose brings sweet heather honey, vanilla fudge and rich dark fruits. On the palate it is silky and full-bodied, with sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger. The finish is rich, with a lingering sweetness.
