Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera Reserve is a Speyside single malt made in Dufftown and bottled at 40% ABV. It is not peated.
The whisky is matured in European oak sherry casks, American bourbon barrels and new oak casks, then married in Glenfiddich's Solera Vat, a large oak vat that is never emptied.
The nose brings honey, baked apple, dried fruit, cinnamon, vanilla and a little oak spice. The palate is rich and silky, with toffee, sherry sweetness, orchard fruit, baking spice, creamy malt and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and sweet oak.
