Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera Reserve is a single malt from the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Speyside, bottled at 40% ABV. It is aged for a minimum of 15 years in ex-bourbon barrels, new oak casks and European sherry casks, then married in the Solera Vat, a large oak vessel that is never emptied.
The nose has honey, vanilla fudge and ripe orchard fruit, with raisins, baked apple and gentle cinnamon. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with sherry oak, dark chocolate, dried fruits, marzipan, soft baking spice and toasted almond. The finish is long and sweet, with honey, dried fruit and oak spice.
