Glenfiddich 16 Years Old Aston Martin Limited Edition is a single malt created in collaboration between Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman and Adrian Newey of the Aston Martin Formula One Team. It is bottled at 43%. The whisky matures in first-fill bourbon casks, then is married from whiskies fully matured or finished in four cask types: port, Oloroso sherry, wine and Fino sherry. A final period in bourbon casks adds sweetness to the house fruitiness. The nose offers cheesecake, maple syrup, caramelised ginger and a touch of toasted oak. The palate is sweet and confectionery-like, with fresh fruit salad and velvety Chantilly cream, leading to a long, velvety finish.
