Glenfiddich 19 Year Old Bourbon Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky from Dufftown in Speyside, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is the second release in the Age of Discovery collection, with the casks selected by Malt Master Brian Kinsman.
All nineteen years were spent in American bourbon casks, with no sherry or wine casks in the mix. It was the first Glenfiddich matured exclusively in this way.
The notes describe warm toffee and deep citrus on the nose, with marmalade on toast, a touch of orange liqueur and dry oak. The palate brings vanilla pod, leather and tobacco, turning sweet and velvety with cardamom and nutmeg, before a warm, long finish.
