Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is a Speyside single malt in a 75cl bottle, matured for 21 years at the distillery. Malt Master Brian Kinsman hand picks the barrels, which are then finished in Caribbean rum casks.
The rum finish adds notes of ginger, fig, lime and banana, along with a spicy toffee warmth.
On the nose it is sweet and intense, with floral notes, banana, figs, toffee, leather and oak. The palate starts soft before turning brisk and drying, with pepper, a touch of smoke, oak, lime and ginger. The finish is very long, warm, dry and spicy.
