Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva is a Speyside single malt from Dufftown, matured for 21 years and then finished in Caribbean rum casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The rum casks add a sweeter note to the Speyside spirit. The colour is a deep golden amber.
On the nose there is vanilla and toffee with fig, banana, new leather and oak spice. The palate is full-bodied and spicy, with pepper, lime zest, ginger and caramelised sugar, then warmth, molasses and tropical fruit from the rum. The finish is long, dry and warming, with oak, baking spices and brown sugar.
