Glenfiddich 30 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. It is matured for a minimum of thirty years in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and American bourbon casks.
The release is built around the distillery's Suspended Time idea, in which the Malt Master stops maturation at the point the whisky reaches its ideal balance. Glenfiddich was founded in 1887 in Dufftown and is operated by William Grant & Sons.
The nose is dried fruit and dark chocolate with oak, cinnamon, honey and delicate floral notes. The palate has sherried raisins, toffee, baking spice and roasted almonds, and the finish is very long, with dark chocolate, sweet spice and oak.
