Glenfiddich – Excellence 26 Years Old (70cl, 43%)

Glenfiddich Excellence is a 26-year-old Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured for at least 26 years exclusively in ex-bourbon casks of American oak, and is the first Glenfiddich bottling made entirely from bourbon casks. It is a tribute to the Grant family, founders of the distillery, who have carried on William Grant's vision since 1887. The colour is an intense gold. The nose is soft and light and floral, with spring blossom, violets, sweet pea and a little green leaf. The palate is lively, balancing dry tannins, brown sugar and vanilla sweetness, with growing oak, spice and liquorice. The finish is deep and complex.
