Grand Yozakura is a 29 year old Glenfiddich single malt, the newest in the Glenfiddich Grand Series, which pairs Scotch whisky with Japanese influences.
It was aged for 29 years in American and European oak casks, then finished for six months in Japanese Awamori casks. Awamori is a rice spirit from Okinawa.
The nose offers citrus zest, kitchen spices and a clear herbal undertone. The palate is creamy and silky, with vanilla, butterscotch and toasted almonds. The finish brings fresh citrus and stone fruits, ending on long-lasting oak.
