Glenfiddich – Special Old Reserve Pure Malt Scotch Whisky 1970s (75cl, 40%)

This Glenfiddich Special Old Reserve is a 1970s release from the core range, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It comes in the iconic triangular bottle, designed for the company in 1956 and first used for Glenfiddich in 1961. The label says Pure Malt, which was the favoured wording on the flagship until 2000. Glenfiddich was among the early champions of single malt Scotch. It was the first distillery to market a single malt brand, in 1963, and the first to open its doors to visitors. William Grant built it in 1886.
