Glenforres 8 Year Old is a Highland blended malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. William Whiteley named it after the original name of Edradour distillery in Pitlochry, and it was registered to the company's Glenforres-Glenlivet Distillery subsidiary.
It is a vatted malt of Edradour and one other Highland malt. For a long time it was the only clue to Edradour's flavour, as the distillery's output went into Whiteley's blends. Edradour sits at its core, and it is described as light, fragrant, smooth and mellow, with a refreshing southern Highland profile.
