This is an 11 year old single cask Glenglassaugh from the Highlands, bottled by Scotch Universe as Glassarion, another release in its Alien series. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 55.1% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead and is not smoky. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose combines plums and raisins with nutty hints and a slightly salty note. On the palate, dark chocolate and caramel meet spicy oak, and the long finish joins sweet sherry fruit with dry spice.
