Glenglassaugh 12 Year Old is a single malt bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in bourbon, sherry and red wine casks, and shows the coastal style associated with a distillery that stands by the sea. Ripe fruit comes through in waves, carried on a sea breeze, and the colour is a bright gold.
On the nose there are sweet hints of ripe apricot and fig, together with toasted vanilla and tropical flora. The palate brings candied pistachio, date and sweet fig, followed by morello cherry and whipped cream, with a touch of fresh coastal air.
