Glenglassaugh Evolution is a single malt bottled at 50%, matured entirely in first-fill casks that previously held Tennessee whiskey. It is bottled without chill-filtration or caramel colouring, and its colour is a golden one.
The nose is sweet, with butter, vanilla and Scottish fudge alongside Golden Delicious apples, caramelised pear and coconut. The palate is creamy and sweet, with a buttery note alongside vanilla, banana, pear, green apple, coconut and aniseed. The finish is soft and rounded, with more coconut and vanilla and a little liquorice.
