Glenglassaugh – Evolution (50%)

Glenglassaugh Evolution is a single malt Scotch whisky matured in a combination of hand-picked, first-fill ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels. It is bottled at 50%, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The whisky is presented as a balance of spirit and oak, and as an expression of Glenglassaugh's character and the landscape around the distillery. Its colour is a crisp harvest gold. The nose is syrupy, with sweet barley, pineapple and soft buttery vanilla, then deeper oak spice and caramelised pear. On the palate, white peppery oak meets green apple and cracked barley, with gentle salted caramel and ripe banana. The finish combines oak spice and soft fruits with vanilla pod.
