Glenglassaugh Revival is a Highland single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It was the first bottling from Glenglassaugh after the distillery had stood silent for more than 20 years.
The whisky matured in a mix of fresh bourbon casks and red wine casks, then was finished in several types of sherry cask. It is bottled without filtration and without added caramel.
The colour is copper with a golden shine. The nose offers sweet caramel, nuts, sherry, milk chocolate, honey, ripe plums, red berries and orange. The palate is sweet, rounded and creamy, with orange, plum, cherry, walnut, chocolate, honey and spiced oak. The finish is medium to long, warming with spice, sherry and caramel.
